Sara Bowes runs a cool acupuncture practice from her space in the Ford Building in SE Portland. I met up with her to photograph her space and some of her very patient clients as she practiced a range of Chinese medicine techniques!
The challenge here was to present Sara’s work and her relationships with her patients in a way that gives an impression of what clients might expect at a treatment session. We were both pretty unhappy with nearly all of the photography of acupuncture we could find on the web. Very little of it showed the acupuncturist or the client, and most of it was close up pictures of skin and needles. I’m really happy with the way that we shot her unique approach and style.
